COMMAND battery drain
Know that this isn't my vehicle, it is brother in laws. I may have model and year wrong but I think it is a 2005 ML 350. Anyway, there's been twice now that they've let the vehicle sit for more than a week and the battery was completely dead. They took to dealership and dealership 'thinks' it is the COMMAND that is draining the battery and want 3000+ to fix, with no guarantee. Any advice? Any wiring diagrams I can look at, once I get correct model and year? Fuse(s) I could pull to measure amperage? Or how to take dash apart if I need to?
Not trying to say it like 'my dad has set of tools'; I used to do competent level electronic repair but that was a long time ago and I don't have a test bench anymore. I can do some things, but not everything.

Please call your BIL and get the exact year & model it is.
When your BIL jump started the veh.. was there Audio on the radio?
When the ML was taken to dealer, did they charge your brother-in law ? If sow, they must have given him a bill.
If so, post a photo of the bill which should include the codes of the problem in COMMAND.
