I just got a 1 year old ML 500 - does anyone know what major improvements MB has made on that car compared to a 2000 ML 430 which I had before? It does drive much better and seems to be more solid.

new interior... new and much improved motor... dvd nav... exterior upgrade... basically everything. good luck with it, and enjoy.

Thanks, this is actually my 4th ML and so far the best. I am thinking about keeping this one for about 3 years and then get the new ML or X5.

color matched moulding, crhome trim around handles and tail gate, signals on mirror,better brakes,,, to name a few more..the list goes on and on when it comes to the interior,, all the lil details adds up,..

Thanks Killer, I heard that there are some 1,000+ changes between the 2001 and 2003 model year. Just wondered of anyone had a list of the most important changes.

Two negatives for me. Smaller side mirrors and the 2002+ models are less fuel efficient.
