Re-Program Key Remote ML320 (2000)

I just purchased an extra key for a ML320 (2000) from Ebay.
Does anyone know how to reprogram the key so it will lock and unlock the car? I tried to follow the one that is described in the manual book but it did not work. Could anyone help me?

Thanks,
zevo

It won't work. Ever. It cannot be reprogrammed, it was not made for your specific vin number. Those people on Ebay are liars, I cannot tell you how many times I have answered this question.....

Thanks guys for the replies.
What would be the most inexpensive way to get another key?
The dealer price here in Chicago is about $ 150.

Thanks,

I'll take that price anytime. My dealer here in Seattle charges $179 for an additional. I was lucky that when I bought my car used it only came with one key so they're going to order me a second one for free, of course that will be the first and last freebie that I would get from them...............

Well your kinda screwed anyways... the ONLY place you will get a key for your mercedes is from a mercedes dealer, because they have to be made specifically for your car. Guess who has all the codes???

You might want to trash the Ebay seller with a bad review. Ebayers pay attention to those rating icons. Put 'em out of business!! :v

Batteries may not be installed correctly, or if using other than OEM batteries, the keys tend to not work well or last very long. Just something I have noticed.... I have a little trick when I install batteries, involves bending the prongs over the top of the battery for a better connection.
Then again, the key might have just died.....
