BAS ESP C1201 A7/7s1(BAS Release Switch): Electrical Fault

‘03 ML 500. I have the intermittent BAS ESP light come on from time to time. Usually clears when I turn off car and restart, but sometimes not. Cleared the historic codes in the ESP section via iCarsoft MBv2.0, and now have the “C1201 A7/7s1(BAS Release Switch): Electrical Fault”. Replaced the brake booster 6 years ago because it had an air leak. It doesn’t seem like anyone has pinpointed the solution to this code when searching the forum. Appreciate any guidance.

Have same code, don’t see any responses. Maybe this will refresh the post to be answered, if possible
