best chrome polish??

I was wondering if there was a consensus about what is the best chrome wheel polish?? I just came back from Autozone and the guy behind the counter recommended "Eagle One Original Nevr-Dull Wadding Polish." He steered me away from the Mother's and Turtle Wax brands. What does everyone else use??

I've used the eagle products on my other car. Works well. I have a great tip in case your chrome gets really bad...steel wool! I saw a guy using it at a vintage car show on his bumpers and I've been using it ever since. It great as long as you use the super fine (00) grade. Even takes out rust, while not even scuffing the chrome!

actually, the Eagle One Nevr-Dull is a steel wool-like material that is soaked in some type of solvent. The directions state that I am supposed to "tear off a small portion of the wadding and rub the surface." Maybe this product is the best of both worlds.

yeah, sounds good. steel wool is cheaper, but comes with no solvent...

I use the Eagle One never dull wadding polish on my CLK55's chrome exhaust tips.
product works like a dream. Its very easy to use...just pull a chunk off and rub it on the chrome. Then I wipe it off with a clean cotton cloth.
Perfect

I tried the Eagle One Wadding Polish today and I wasn't convinced of the results. I tested it on a small area and it either caused a scratch in the same direction of application, or it polished the area so good that it made an existing scratch stand out more.

Hey Stiggs, when you use the polish, does it apply as a light brown liquidy haze, or is my can contaminated?? Thanks for your advice.

Well, it does go on as a haze, not sure about the color though....just cloudy. Never have seen a scratch, but it is only the tail pipes I'm using it on. Maybe the other chrome spots are more delicate?
Hope that helps.

Man, now I'm nervous I might be scratching my chrome tail pipes!
