Rear Bench - Cargo Position!

Here's a small item......in case anyone else run into this!

The larger part of the bench seat, would never go down all the way and latch! So, I kept poking around there and found.........the angle bracket of the short seatbelt in the middle seat, was hitting the lower support. Removed it for now and it works.

Now I can sleep better...... Yes! I do sleep in the back once in a while.

Gotta figure out...if it's the wrong part or if it was installed wrong...or something else.

What color is the bracket? If it is gold in color, then it sounds like part of an old recall campaign. The dealer should remedy this for free if so, sounds like it may have not been done correctly.

Thanks for the tip.

Mine (MY02) goes down all the way. Yours must have been defective from the start.

I had assumed that was as far as it was suppose to go, so never bothered with it.

The small angle bracket that the belt is attached to, is BLACK.
Numbers on the latch part.
TRW
085001
223010B 13

There's also numbers stamped on the bracket: 827025A TC024

Thanks!

So I talked to the Dealer......there is nothing anywhere mentioned about seat belts for my vehicle.
However, I had him print up a history of repairs that was done to the vehicle. For whatever reason, the belt was replaced before.

Guess I'm on my own with this one. Not a big deal, no one sits there anyway!
Thanks!
