center console rattle

a car that can't do the throttle reset.
center console rattle
has anyone had a rattle from the center console area... sounds like the "wood" is kind of rattling. any remedies out there? thanks

Remove the center console screws which attach the console to the floor and insert a rubber washer on each screw and replace. This will eliminate about 3/4 of the noise. The remainder is from the plastic cover which surrounds the gear shift. It is more difficult to eliminate the noise from this cover but can be accomplished with two way foam tape if not tolerable.
