Seat Belt Receiver - replacement
For my '98 ML320, the drivers side Seat Belt is hard to "latch"
in to the receiver. i.e., I have press hard on the clip to latch.
It has gotten gradually worse. I would like to replace the receiver.
Has anyone else replaced the seat belt receiver?
I you have replaced or know how to, please reply.
Where did you buy the part?
Thanks in advance

Maybe go to the dealer and see if these have ever been addressed, they are safety recalls:
TSB number Date
1999110005 DEC 99 Recall - Front Seat Belt Inspection
99V328000 NOV 99 Recall 99V328000: Seat Belt Buckle Defect
These are for the 1998 ML320 and they should be aware of them, especially if it is the dealer you purchased from. Just write down the above info (TSB number, date etc)and ask your dealer if they have been looked at. If they say they were done, get them do show you, in their records now, not later.

WienerWater,
I went to the dealer; the SA said that all the relevant recalls have been performed on my truck. Thanks for asking me to go to the dealer, anyway.
azinn, thanks for that link.
Looks like I will buy it and install it myself (once the weather gets little
warmer). In Chicago, it COLDDDDD this week.
