Help with MCS Radio/Navigation

I'm a new owner of a 2000 ML320.

I can't figure out if I have navagation. There is no navigation CD with the truck, but if I purchase one (the Canandian one, for example), would I be able to put that into the single cd slot behind the display panel and have navigation?

I don't have a changer, but all indications from the MCS seem to indicate to me that the above should work - but I'm not sure! I also don't have a GPS antenna anywhere, but could that be built in?

You may have a single slot cd player and not navigation.... What happens when you push the NAV button?
Most people don't realize the MCS can be fitted with a nav drive or a single slot cd player. Very very few of the single slot cd players were installed. I may have done 2.... a few years ago at that!

Nothing happens when I push the NAV button.

So I guess I don't have Navigation then? It seems like a waste with that nice screen and all. What whould I need to do to install it? Whould it be costly?

Thanks

Prolly a bit over a thousand bucks. You will need to add the antenna, some wiring and a splitter I think... and the actual nav module itself.
