Most people use screws, lol 
Actually it should be pretty straight forward shouldnt it unless its some type of special plate. I have the sport bumper that has two holes already set up for it... just get a screw that fits the hole. and slap on a nice mercedes license plate frame

Step one: drive to dealer.
Step two: fetch the ******* who sold it to you.
Step three: repeat the following phrase "Can you put this on for me?"
Step four: wait about thirty minutes while that scumbag tries to hunt down a tech who ends up putting it on for free, because even though the salesman promised him a few bucks, he will never see it.
