Unhappy 2000 ML320 Rear Brake Pad Install

I want to installed the new rear Brake Pad for my ML 320 year 2000. I installed front ones, there are very easy. But I ran into some problem with the rear ones, I can't get the pads off. Can someone should be the step-by-step instruction how to replace the Rear Brake Pads, thank you so much.

not sure about the 320.. but on my '00 430, the procedure was exactly the same for both fronts and rears...

not sure where the problem is.... you want the "low tech" approach -- stick a flat head screwdriver between pad and rotor and push towards the rotor carefully so the screwdriver head doesn't damage the rotor...
of course, you may wanna try a different approach, though this is assuming you're having troubles pulling the pads out...

My experience

I've only done the fronts, but I really had to man-handle the caliper a bit to get it off the rotors. If the caliper is loose, but simply won't come off, I'd get some gloves and rock it back and forth to get he pistons to retract enough. It's usually a good idea to remove the master cylinder cap so that the fluid level can rise there.

Just punch out the pins, remove the retaining clip and the pads should come through the top of the caliper. You should not have to remove the caliper unless you want to replace the rotor.
