'06 ML350 Car and Driver Test-June'05

Hey, just got the June '05 issue and there's a great road test of the '06 ML350. All positive, except body roll and rough ride. Sorry, no scanner.

Highs:Mighty Powertrain, stylist inside and out, refinement befitting a Benz

Lows:Abundant body roll through turns, rough ride over lousy Michigan roads, still not cheap.

The Verdict:An SUV that finally deserves to wear the three-pointed star.

You're right, quite a bit faster than factory spec.of 8.2! But, that what it says. It even says it again in the text. They point out it was 1.0 sec faster than their '99 430!

could be possible? The V8 is pretty heavy and with the 3.5 making the same amount of HP as the 4.3, but less torque. 4.3 = 288tq and the 3.5 = 258tq.

Then again, MB is usually conservative with their numbers, as all German car manufacturers are.

Motor Trend also has a very good review in it's upcoming issue! It looks like a winner, but I am going to wait until the diesel comes out.

I thought the brake pedal somewhat mushy on my test drive, but brakes themselves seemed fine.
