Goodbye....
to my '98 that is. It's been a very good vehicle.

I can't wait to move on to the new one, though.

Greg, any idea how many days from the build completion to being in the dealer's hands?? On my 02 it was only 6 but I realize this can vary with the distance it has to travel.

Transport time

Of course I know the time to Oregon--17 days average, according to my dealer. May vary between 14 & 21. Vehicles are shipped by rail to Oregon. Mine was just released to the carrier today, as it turns out, so chances are it will arrive on Independence Day weekend, and not before. Drat!

On a side note, I sold my '98 yesterday and agreed with the buyer I'd get a little exhaust leak checked out (tic, tic, tic sound). Well turns out it's a cracked header--about $600. My SA says he's never seen this on a 320, but there must be some history because they had a part in stock! Also, the cat on that side was cracked, but that's still under emissions warranty. My lucky day (right)! That $600 comes out of my pocket since the price was agreed upon.

I really want to hear your on-going assessment of the car. Also, it sounds like you're having to postpone your roadtrip in the new ML. Hopefully, you'll be able to reschedule soon.

I got $15,950 for it without having to advertise--just parked it in my driveway, plus a couple thou for the Lorinsers I had on it previously. But, I put brand new tires on it ($700) and am now spending $600 to get a cracked header replaced. But, it's time to move on and it's not worth it to me to spend weeks trying to get top dollar.
