New ML Sport 320 Diesel arriving in the next 10 days
My new car is finnally due to arrive in the next 2 days, although it will not be handed over until sept 17th (release date).
Has anyone on here driven the diesel version, if so what is it like, is it better then the 350 petrol.
This thread needs more pictures.

Ok not much news on the new ML there,
I view a ML500 today, I didnt like the sand colour interior or the AMG wheels,
Loved the outside of the car but the interior colour put me off the inside,
Ive been told i can pick my car up sat morning and it should arrive at local dealer tommorrow.
My order was messed up ie they forgot to order it even though they had had my deposit for over a year,
Cut a long story short got £2700 0f spec for nothing. and paid about £1500 for spec i would have ordered, to be fair with them.
Im a happy man now with first child due soon coming home in the New ML

Hi Steve,
According to UK MB web site ML release date is 15th NOT 17th of Sept.
I haven't seen the new ML 'in the metal' yet but hopefully should by end of week (Dealer demonstrator). I've ordered a black Sport 3.2 Cdi with airmatic (which should be an October build).
What colour/model are you getting?
Apart from UK MB club site are you aware of this site:
http://www.benzworld.org/forums/foru...iew.asp?fid=52
There are some good pictures there but (obviously) not diesels (which only matters if you open bonnet!).
Cheers,
Dieter

Hi Steve,
There's a 'piccie' of the wheels in the MB glossy. Also if you go to MB(UK) web site they have updated their vehicle list to include new ML.
If I remember correctly they are 5-spoke with bulges on the spokes and their are two ridges on the rim between each spoke. They look OK and they look easy to clean.
Cheers,

Thank Dieter but i have no glossy the dealer has ran out. gutted
There has been a new development with my car,
The car has the wrong wheels on it, they are an american spec chrome R40 wheel which are normally a cost option in the US. I can still have the car although this problem has caused a few days delay.
I can keep the wheels if i like them for an extra £750 or when they get a new correct set in they will change them over to the correct ones (couple of weeks)
Has anyone got a pic of these chrome R40 wheels, these wheels are normally not an option in the uk or europe so i am very interested what they look like, an exclusive ML possibly.

Hi Steve,
The wheels on Greg's car (see previous post) are the (same as) UK Sports wheels.
I have now seen new ML (black) in metal (Dealer's ML350 Sport demonstrator). Worryingly it had a fault (don't know what but not serious) but should be given a 'guided tour' (in their second demonstrator due in today) and a drive this w/end.
The 'cheese grater' grill didn't overpower the front of the car and the shut lines and paintwork looked good.
Really looking forward to getting inside and having a ride.
Cheers,

Thanks for all your input chaps,
I was given the dealerships demo for the weekend an ML350 Sport in Silver,
Loved It, Loved the way it drives, Im Really pleased with my choice buying an ML.
My car has still not arrived and i have not even seen a ML320 CDI.
Do they Exist, has anyone seen one or driven one.

Hi Steve,
That was a pretty good test drive. I got a short drive (3 miles or so) of 350/airmatic but did have fun whizzing round roundabout (v little roll/sport setting).
Dealer said only petrol cars delivered (5) and 2 sold (customer specs) this/last week. All but one had chrome wheels (which you can keep at no extra cost!). Assumption is not too many (if any) diesels around yet.
They do exist as 'Ansan' has a piccie of one on Benzworld site.
Cheers,
