Pls clarify, do all ML500 come standard with airmatic air suspension??

Anyone use the Brabus suspension module for lowering?

No, it is not standard.

No one here has posted of actually buying the Brabus module. I think that part is not yet aailable, at least in the US.

Called Brabus NA this morning (my buddy's dayoff) so the unknown sales rep insisted that all 2006 ML500 came standard with airmatic suspension, I am certain that mine does not have this option.

Brabus spring set & lowering module are in stock and available for purchase, as I had the rep double check.

Why not see if Steve can lower it via Star Diagnostics. It will be cheaper and still maintain the factory warranty.

How does it maintain warranty, if it takes us out of specs? Or does he just try to hit the spec limits?

Next, Airmatic is an option on all new MLs. It is not standard on any ML or added in any package. You must buy it separate.

p.s. I LOVE IT!!

How can it be lowered without Airmatic? I thought there was no way to lower without Airmatic.

He's referring to the optional Airmatic. Richard's original question ask if anyone has installed the Brabus module.

He can lower it to the lowest setting. He will get close to the acceptable tolerances like you said Jangy. We have done it on our E55's as well. NOTE: This only works with Airmatic suspensions.

I had a Keyes European tech double check yesterday for airmatic, and I do NOT have the airmatic option as I requested...thank god, I don't need to spend $1700 for a silly module. The 22" Brabus wheels are on, but needs desperate lowering....I have an appointment with Brabus NA on Tuesday for the spring swap.

Richard, when I spoke to Andres from Brabus NA he told me the suspension they offer for the w164 will lower by 2". The pictures in the Brabus website looks lower than 2". Can you ask them how they got it that low? Also, a tuner store told me you don't want to lower too much as there will be alignment issues. I wonder if the pics from the Brabus website are just for show. I just want to know what is the max it can be lowered without causing any problems.

Yes, I received the same info from my buddy Anthony for the W164. Correct me if I'm mistaken, but the ML500 on their website may perhaps have the airmatic suspension.

My W163 ML430 has an approx. 2" drop and has been for 3 years without any issues.

Ok, 2" from Brabus suspension plus .6" from airmatic sport mode is 2.6". The pic in the website still looks lower than 2.6"

I spoke to (2) techs in their workshop, they have the ML350 spring set in stock and they have no clue if Brabus will release a ML500 set (possibly not since their is no memo)...they also stated it's quite possible the ML350 spring set will lower my 500 a bit more than 2" due to the extra weight it carrys. We'll find out by this week
