Tire Pressure Monitoring System
I can't seem to get the tire pressure to display. I hit the + button to reactivate, watch as it says tire pressure monitor being activated and then, it goes back to the screen which says tire pressure monitor may need to be reactivated. Is there something I am doing wrong?

Hi,
In Europe/UK there's supposed to be an option for a 'proper' tyre pressure monitoring system which shows actual tyre pressures on dash. I ordered it, but typically, it doesn't appear to be available to fit yet (although it's in the brochure).
Cheers,

TPS systems
[QUOTE=Wolfgang]Here's a link describing both systems:
I don't think the direct-reading one has been offered in US MLs, has it? Maybe it will be offered in Europe because of the higher speeds? The indirect system takes several psi of change before it is detected.

The indirect system has one disadvantage in the ML. Excessive amounts of wheel spin in a dirt environment may cause some confusion over the true state of one tyre. Even then i cant see it being a problem.
