Do a thread search -- this has been discussed before.... They share all of, like, 3 parts....

Hmm lets see:

M has its own unit-body chasis.
Pacfica has its own chasis that stays within the Chrysler brand.

Transmissions, drivetrains, engines, body, everything. Yeah they might have the same fuel pump lol, and that might be about it hahaha.

Maybe he should go and drive the new ML and decide.

Either way, I've learned that people like this are not worth fighting with, because they don't think rationally. Short of taking him to Alabama and showing him the factory, I don't think you will be able to convince him, because the differences are obvious.

By the way Bing, I used to live in Ridgefield.

Pacifica

DCX code name "CS" platform has the exact same 5 link rear suspension as an "E" class (same for all "LX" platforms, 300, magnum, charger) That's where it ends. 2007 "CS" will have a MB (designed) DCX Kokomo built 6 speed auto with a 4.0L V6. Next gen "CT" platform (2008) Pacifica will be rear wheel drive based and share the "R" class chassis. It will be built in St Louis as apposed to Windsor ON Canada as it is now.

In the next few years you will see MAJOR changes in both "Chrysler" brands and "MB" brands sharing more and more parts. IE brakes, powertrain, lights, suspensions. More MB diesels coming to Chrysler/Jeep.

Can you visualize a new design 8 liter V10 Viper based on the 6.3L V8 505hp AMG engine. 600hp/650ftlb (soft tune now). You think the Viper guys are going to let the Z06 be top dog for long.. 2008.

Seriously. I feel sad for folks that refuse to open their minds.
