multicontour seats?
before ordering my ML 350 there are some unsolved questions I hope you can answer:
1. How are the (in Germany so called) multicontour seats? Some threads told abaout problems (the seats lose const. air ...).
2. How practicable are lighter leather seats? Does somebody see already dirt there?
Would it be better to order not the multicontour seats and black leather??
Thanks! - from cold northern Germany!

The question on upholstery? I choose medium colors for the purpose that you mention, ease of keeping clean -- but many members have the lighter upholstery and interiors with no problems. I suppose the question is: how well will you keep your car clean, and how often will you clean your car? I do not believe that lighter-colored upholstery is any more problematic than darker colored upholstery if you are willing to make the effort to keep it clean, and if you are willing to obtain a good stain remover for that occcasional disaster....

the lighter color does fade, stain, etc. more than the dark ones will that is a fact, especially on Benzes. Go look at any old S class w/ tan interior. Up to you. It basically comes down to how "aged" the car looks when it is 5-10 years old. For now, the lighter is nice (especially blue). In the long run, dark will look less dated.
The strange location of the control panel I know. But during a test drive it didn't disturb me.

I guess I'm saying to be realistic and understand that the lighter will age, BUT get it if it is the one that melts your heart. The lighter interirs can add some character that the charcoal just doesn't.
Tell us what you choose. And of course PICS PICS PICS!
