What Color is your ML...Why do you like it?
Hi this is just out of curiosity...by the way is it hard to maintain a black car? Is black better or the same as Obsidian Black? What ML color do you think looks better Iridium Silver or Black/Obsidian Black?

our ML is stone grey (I don't know the exact color name)/ Alpaga grey leather.
We chose the stone grey because it was different from the overly abused silver and it was much better than the dark blue (black is a pain to keep clean). The alpaga grey was the best matching interior color and it gives to the cabin a much roomier feeling.

Hi,
Chose obsidian black cos fed up with silver. Didn't want to 'risk' alpine rain (nice from some angles but overall no) and didn't like silver/brown (pewter).
So if it gets dirty it shows but aren't (potential) off-roaders meant to look dirty?
Cheers,

I prefer black and some other dark colors. However its much more difficult to keep them looking good, ie; swirl marks, dust and dirt. This time I went with Alpine Rain and I like it. After 2 dark ML's this is a breeze to keep up. My E Class is emerald black which is beautiful but again difficult to keep up and I believe more so than plain black.

I have a Silver ML with charcoal ( black ) interior. All cars will have swirl marks but its easier to see them on a black or darker cars. Don’t know how true it is about black cars under the sun gets hotter then a lighter color car for me if its hot its hot no matter what color the car is.
I do like the black but like what everyone said its hard to maintain to keep clean and avoiding the swirl marks. In my opinion one way to keep it shinning like new is to wax it as often as you can. I have a friend that has a black BMW and he waxes his car every time he washes it. His car is about 5 years old and still looks good. Cant really avoid the swirl marks or even road debris but it all comes down to how you take care of your car. Using the proper cleaning agents helps too.

My ML350 is Iridium Silver, because i think it goes best with the Appearance Package. Black is nice, but too difficult to keep clean and shows scratches too easily, and i don't have the time to wash my cars that often. Silver also makes it easier to resell or trade in your car, since dealers always want silver cars. also, it goes best with the black interior, which, again, is the easiest to keep clean. My next choice would be Pewter - i still wonder if i should have gotten Pewter, but heard it's harder to re-sell,and wasn't convinced i wanted a car with brownish tones to it.

I considered Iridium, but my last ML was silver and it seems every other M-B is. It looks good, but just way too common. I went with Pewter, which is a brownish silver that I think looks classy and is quite a bit different than regular silver. It's also a light/medium tone that hides dirt well. I'm very happy with my choice.
It looks a little darker here than normal, but it changes with the light:

Wow...beautiful cars and choices. I have am Iridium Silver w/Charcoal interior...with the silver grill so everything matches. However, sometimes I think I should have gotten a black ML...I've never had a black car...but mine was a gift (sort of)...my husband wanted a Lexus GX470 and I wanted the Mercedes...well he did not wanted to get a black car because of maintenance and visibility issues ...so...I compromised and got an Iridium Silver (it was either that or getting a GX470). In this car though (2006 ML) I think it looks pretty good...even a bit bigger than the black...it kind of shows more the lines of the car.
About silver cars being too common...I believe black cars are too at least in CA...I live in a place where 80% of the people have black cars...it is just funny to see the parking lot...it's very black...haha. But what can you do...maybe my next car will be all black...even though I tend not to wash my car that often.

Has anyone seen the Cactus Micah?
I've got to pick up something for here in the boonies, and I'm just doing the down and dirty and choosing between two identical build ML500's - one Alpine Rain and Macadamia, the other Cactus Micah and ...I forget what the interior is, now...
I'd like to hear opinions, get descriptions (even bad ones), see pics...

Benz Colors
one thing to always remember a Benz ALWAYS looks great in black no matter which model it is. now about that black - i have an '03 obsidian black S-class and a regular black '04 E-class - out of the 2 i can honestly say when the E is clean it looks way better than my Obsidian S. the obsidian has a dull sheen to it. silver and white always look good on a benz as well.
