"Check Engine" No, it is not the Gas Cap!

Hi guys, a new one here, my Check Engine light does not turn off after three days of checking the gas cap. It happened before a few times and the gas cap closure canceled the light but now that is not working.

3800 miles on the ML500.

any ideas?

Only way to know for sure is to have the dealer pull the codes with the Star diagnostic computer. All else is a guess.

Sosh is correct. I had the Check Engine light fairly recently, my problem was the fuel injector system was not working properly, which made the fuel mixture run too rich. They replaced some spark plugs and ran test, eventuallly getting the fuel mixture to the proper readings. Good luck.

Sounds like pressure. That could be a leak, the fuel pump, or lots of things. Should not be a big deal for the dealer to find. Hope it gets worked out quick, and keep us posted.
