Need Your Opinion
This is not about the ML but I want to ask people in this forum anyway since we have similar taste in vehicles. No, I am not trading in my ML. I have been a member for several months now and I read very intelligent posts in this forum. So I will hold your opinion very close to my decision.
I am in the market for a second car and want to know which one you would pick.
Here is the 411:
06 Mazda RX8 - (pros) 6 speed manual, loaded, after market wheels already installed, I can get it at $1500 below invoice, fast, fun to drive (cons) fuel efficiency
06 Lexus IS 250 - (pros) better fuel efficiency than the RX8, automatic, more luxurious, I can get it for invoice (cons) not as fun to drive
My payments on both will be the same. I'm 40 yrs old, married w/ a 5 yr old and a 2 month old baby. The ML is our family car and the second one will be my baby. I guess you can consider this "mid life crisis". The RX8 is more fun to drive and IS 250 is more of a family oriented car. My wife is open to both.
What's your opinion?

If you are looking for something sporty for your midlife crisis get the sc430 lower it and slap on some 19" or 20" wheels with big lips. Oh and don't forget the Wald body kit. I had my midlife crisis at 39. HaHa
That being said unless you get the is350 I would go with the RX8
Here are more info regarding rotary engines and is swinging my decision closer to Lexus. In addition to poor fuel efficiency, oil consumption is higher than normal. Also, engine repairs are more expensive. This is not good for a commute car.
Attached are pics of both cars.

So with that said - the things I like are the Audi A3 (3.2; I know, probably a bit more than you'd like to spend - but you get AWD and some other pluses); consider a 2004/2005 Boxster (if "family" really doesn't matter).
