i have lately been seeing alot of 164's badged '4matic' on the right side.. as well as on the GL. when did the factory start putting this on ML's?? and why? its not like there is a two wheel drive version.

Mine does not have the badge. I had heard about it and a couple of weeks ago while at my dealers I looked around and could not find any badged, even on the showroom floor.

All 07's will be badged
this was the way it was at all the auto shows too...R's, ML's and GL's (it's competition, i guess)...everyone wants to see the 4x4 capability spelled out.

just got a 2006 ml350 and scraped off all advertising. goo-be-gone works miracles!

Two of my friends have ML's, and they both don't have the badge, but mine does. It doesn't seem to be any real consistency.

It is all in the production dates, all ML/GL/R's produced after a certain date get the badge.

maybe theyre falling off but neways, i saw that badge around its 4MATIC, ut i dont like it, sounds like something youd put on a washing machine

I have seen a ML with a asterisks ( * ) right after the ML350*
I have seen it on other MB too. What does it symbolize
