Question Original MB New W164 Running Boards????

I have ordered, Thessaloniki GREECE, a new ML 320 CDI, coming hopefully at start of November 2006, almoust full optional but I could not order when i ordered my car the original aluminium running boards! I do not like the chrome tubes ones, as they look too cheap and almoust dangerous when one steps on them!

I would like to ask if anyone can help me, i suppose in Europe, where to find or order the set of 2 aluminium running boards (as in the picture at http://www.mbusa.com/models/features...ccClassCode=ML then click at ML 350 SUV, then at Build your own car click at Options and then at Aluminium Running Boards at details) if there is a chance to install them as an aftermarket product!!!!??????????

I would appreciate any help!

(They improve the ML look but also are very practical and also protective for the lower part of sides of the car!)

Running boards

I have ML320 CDI and had to fit the alloy running boards you talk of. You can order from the MB dealer ( parts). Thats how I did it. Big wait however as they were on back order.
Fitted them my self, pretty easy, about 60 mins each side.
They look real good, but you can not have front mud flaps and steps! I`m going to custom fit some to mine.
The steps were 600-700 pounds sterling.

Can you post the link to this running board please? Thank you in advance. I'm thinking of purchasing and installing them myself as well.

Running Boards or Side Bars?

Are the ones you have installed the ones I am asking for? I am searching for alumminium running boards, a part that is one piece with the end of sides of the car, NOT the chrommed side bars!
I am wondering if you found what i also am seraching for and not the ugly side bars, and i am especially surprised about the easy way of their installation and price as you described.

Please make it clear!

I have already what I was searching for! My ML running boards, the very nice ones similar to the BMW X5 ones, will arrive in Greece in 3 weeks from the U.S.A. Can be installed easily.

Thanks to your help.......
