I don't see why--the antennas for all the systems are below the panel at the rear of the roof. Also, metallic tints are the only ones that would affect radio waves.

You will not have any problem. I live in Arizona and had my front two windows tinted right after making the purchase. My MB dealership also offered me the same service. It is illegal in AZ to tint the front windshield and that is the only way I could see that the navigation system would be affected.

It shouldn't interfere with the Nav/Radio reception however before you tint the windows, I'd check on the legality of tinting the front windows in your state. In numerous states it is against the law to tint these windows (prohibiting a law officer from looking in at a traffic stop) and several states will actually make you scrape off the tinting if you want to drive the vehicle again after paying a hefty fine.

The only kind of problems you might have with window tint is if it's metallic then it might interfere with the AM/FM antennas in the back windows, but that's it.

Just take a picture of the car before you tint.

Around here there isn't a fine, you just have to prove that you untinted...so just bring to court the untinted pics and you are good to go (worked for my friend so).

Did yous see my post above? AM/FM/WB antenna is in the same module as the other antennas under the roof panel, not the back window, I beleve. But you're the tech, so prove me wrong, and I'll slink away.

Yes, I saw your picture above. Here is some info about the system from the folks who make it for Mercedes. The Fuba division is located in Salzdetfurth in Germany.
