HID Conversion Kit??

Hi, I was just wondering if anybody had changed their halogen bulb to a aftermarket HID conversion kit and if so how did it result??

I am also wondering what is the temperature for the standard bi-xenons..is it 4300K or 6000K.

any input would be appreciated thanks.!!

Standard is close to the 4300K figure. 6000k is very blue with not as much output.

Buy the real OEM projectors and do the install properly. If your just going to throw some balasts and xenons in your halogen housing your going to get plenty of light spatter, and it wont be as effective as a real OEM projector.

There's a new Mercedes-Benz Lighting Forum located here:

http://www.pointedthree.com/disc/for...splay.php?f=80

There was some recent very in depth discussion there on this very subject.

I would guess if he's taking it out after just installing it he is not too happy! The problem with many of these conversions is the light is not properly controlled and shaped, resulting in less than optimum performance and dangerous glare for other drivers.

"the light is everywhere" = the projectors/reflectors arent for hid. i was lighting up the left and right sidewalks! and i would see the road a mile ahead of me resulting in blind drivers. going to order the original mercedes hid lights, the whole package. it will cost me much more but its worth it

Abee, di you try the H7St bulbs, are they any different than what the ML came with?

Did you have to change anything else, and where they easy to install?
