ML-350 2006
installing interior lights

going to replace the dome lights (c5w 12v5w) with leds. anyone know how to take them out? i just cant find how, i try alot of methods with no luck

Sorry, I don't have the answer to your question, but why are you doing that? IMO, LED color is not very good, and you may lose the fade to off feature, as well.

Bad choice for any light that you may have to read or work with. Not enough light and as previously mentioned they most likely will not fade off. May even overload the circut. Why would you want to do this??

LED's do look cool. I personally love the light of LED. It is true that LED's are not necessarily as bright, but they do have a higher contrast, which makes up for it. Since LED's use much less power, you may need to put in resistors to compensate. See a thread in the W210 forum about this.

I replaced my rear license plate bulbs with LED and they look great, although it was a real pain to do it on the ML.

PIAA LEDs have built-in resistors.. very pricey for tiny bulbs...
looks cool but not bright enough to read map/book/etc...
i say save up $ and get hyperwhite bulbs instead...
