led modification
just installed one led in my car. it worked without any problems, but the size is wrong.... the dome light is 6418 which is 1.5 inch universal. the dome light in the ml is 1.7 at the end i just added some copper plates and it looks awsome. cost me 16.00 for 2 so it produces plenty of light. ill post pics when i ordered leds for all the lights.

You shouldn't get any message in the display for the interior lights, because it will be obvious that it is out. They only have the messages for lights that are exterior that you may not notice.
I look forward to seeing them. After putting up a ton of LED Christmas lights, I'm now ready to do more LED in the car
