I think your reading into it a little too much there buddy. Panzers were the if not one of the greatest tanks of WWII, and they were german. My TE is a German auto, and it is a tank of a car. Nothing to do with killing jews

Who said anything about killing Jews? I know what panzer is, but despite any text you wish to put there, the black cross icon in your avatar is an emblem of Hitler's Wehrmacht, a German military from the WWII era and I just don't think it's appropriate for a car forum as I'm sure it may offend many people. Also, there are laws in many european countries including Germany that ban use of this insignia.

My use of that is simply a reference to the fact that I call my car the Panzer, if the Panzer had a different marking, I would use that, I could call it a Panther 2, but people know that a Pazner is a german tank that was superior to all others for its time, and that is the theme of my car. Nothing more.
So, do you complain to the USC football team for using the mascot of the Trojans? Those trojans killed a few people in their day, correct me if I am wrong, yet people never seem to ***** and moan about that. The Iron cross was also a symbol used by the german military in WWII, yet it is one of the most popular accessories/design cues on so many of today's "hottest" chopper motorcycles, yet no one says anything about that do they? In fact the german military still uses it! SO how can I win? I can't.
I am not here to offend people, I am here for the love I have of mercedes.
Let it go, the war's over, we need not prolong the hate.

Those tanks lost because of the sheer number of tanks that they faced, and the lack of their resources. This is not a WWII debate. But I will not pull my avatar down, you can't please everyone, that creates one hell of a bland and dull society.
anyways, back to the benzes. the w164, this forum is tops especially CDI's in verde brook

It's very sad that you feel this way and it's also obvious that you have lack of knowledge of history and respect for millions of people that were brutally slaughtered by Hitler and his military whose sign you're proudly displayin. If you'd appear with this sign in public in any civilized country in Europe, you'd be arrested and make headlines as a ****. I don't give a rats *** if you take it down or not, but I hope that someday you'll visit some **** concentration camps like Auschwitz and learn a history lesson.

I have no idea of what "his beliefs" are compared to mine. I just see people pole vaulting over mouse turds on this issue.
Keep in mind that the Mercedes Star was very closely associated with Hitler and the National Socialists (****) Party. Should we not display it?!??

Wow, my first reaction is that you guys need to cut loose from your righteous indignation trip that must be closely related to your omniscient character, but that would be making brash assumptions, much like you were making about me. This is a mercedes forum, with members of a global community with a varying range of beliefs and tolerance levels, get used to it. One of you I see is from the US, remember free speech? A civilized society is one that celebrates tolerance and understanding if you ask me, you are not displaying either of those traits. You guys need to get some fresh air.
I'm not here for fights or arguments, or passing judgement on others, I would hope your presence here is for a similar appreciation for the cars we all love to drive.

Excellent point. A co-worker was almost disgusted I drove a Mercedes and when I asked why, he said that they supported Hitler during the war. What happend back then was horrible, but the simple fact is that anyone connected with Mercedes-Benz now had nothing to do with their actions during that era and I really wish people would not instantly make assumptions that someone is a "****" because of things like this.

Some folks are not only too easily offended, but they obviously don't know the difference between the Wehrmacht's Iron Cross and the **** Swastika.
I don't know of anywhere it's written that we have the right to not be offended.

Certainly do know the difference. But, both were **** symbols and used by the **** SS and **** party. The MB logo represented a private company that was taken over and managed by the ****'s to produce war products and the logo was never seen on stuff they did not manufacture, on uniforms, or tails of aircraft. Very different. BMW and VW were in effect also managed by the **** party during the war also.

In the modern western world, Swastika is a recognized **** symbol as opposed to a religious one... try going out in public wearing this if you feel so confident about your religious "sign". You probaly don't have guts to do something like this because you'd be arrested. Why should it be different on a PUBLIC forum? I really don't give a shlt which sign you pray to, if you're **** or belong to KKK. Just keep your religion to yourself so you're not offending anyone. I'm out of this forum.
