How does autostick work on the ML350??
Ok so today I traded in my '05 ML350 special edition for an '06 ML350. I feel the buttons behind the steering wheel but I press them and nothing happen. I put the car in Drive and then I can't up or downshift. am I doing something wrong here? I'd be on the freeway and attempt to downshift and nada. wtf?! Is this crap already broken!?

AMG
yea that was my mistake too at first i was like WTF!!!!! Coming from E55 I was used to left one downshift right up shift! Then BY mistake i felt they both could shift up and down. So just put your finger on one button and press it on both ends it has upshift and downshift.

2007 ML350 w/ full AMG package
They have actually changed this for the 07 models – there is no more rocker – just a button as found on the ML63's – upshift on the right, down on the left. Much much better!
