Drawer storage above ashtray?
How come some ML have it and some don't? Mine doesn't have it, wtf?! Can I just replace the wood trim and get one with the drawer?

Its included in one of the packages, at least it was in 06. I have it and its quite handy. Do not know whats involved with a retrofit or even if its possible to do so. Best bet is to ask your dealer's parts dept.

how is your ml spec'ed. what packages and or options do you have. i have a 2007 with leather and premium package 2 among other things and i have the drawer

No, has nothing to do with the Nav. I remember looking into this when I ordered my 06 as I wanted the drawer. Vaguely remember that it was either in the premium package or the convience/comfort package. But, then again all of the packages have been changed for 07.

I have the P3 Package, and I have the drawer. Now, which part of the package includes it is a good question.

I would guess that its either the P2 or P3 package. The guy who started this thread seems to have an ML with minimum options, a very basic ML. I did look at the MBUSA web site (build your own) and I could not find a clue there.

mine is P2 like i had said. so the drawer comes with P2 and P3 as long as you have leather seats and the burl walnut. We need to ask someone that has leather and P1 whether they have it as well as someone that has P1 P2 and P3 with the MB Tex and birdseye whether they have the drawer as well

Over here in Australia, the drawer is replaced by an extra row of buttons as part of the optional Off-Road Pro package.
