Question Looking at a new ML and . . .

I'm looking at a new ML350. I've noticed on the MB site that there seem to be a lot of 2006 and even 2007 MLs as "pre-owned". Here in New England, almost everyone leases vehicles so you never see any car less the 36 months old. Are there any issues I should know about with the new ML?

Also, would anyone care to share how close they paid to either invoice or sticker (as the case may be) for their MLs? The dealer here seems to think they are made of unobatinium.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

- FD

If you can register it in MA, go with the ML320CDI. You will not regret it.

My dealer in Atlanta was about 4.5% off MSRP (and ML320CDI's are more in demand here than the gasoline models); and he will do business on the Internet, if you want to travel to pick it up.

If you're interested, I can give you his contact info. Send me an email or PM.

Which dealer did you go to?? I paid 3-4k below msrp for a new 06 about 18 months ago..I purchased it at herb chambers. Ive had alot of issues but they were fixed by the dealer..I just had an 07 as a loaner and felt it better than mine..maybe they already fixed the common issues on the 07s

Leased an 07 for my parents. Got the negotiated price to about 2000 over invoice which is about 2000 under MSRP. Then calculated the lease payments from there. That was back in August of 2006. So far, the car's heater stopped working last week. Dealer said "the fan motor froze and had to be replaced". I've never heard of that before....not even in my cheap Made in Mexico Sentra.

Prior to the 07 ML350, I leased an 03 for them. They had the car for about 40 months and drove 36K miles on it. No issues at all with that car. I hope this heater incident is a little glitch.
