Considering ML350 in SoCal

I'm seriously considering buying a ML350 very soon.

What kinds of discounts are people getting on these? I think I read $3k-$4k off MSRP .. does that sound right?

Here is what my build @ mbusa looks like:

Exterior Color (Metallic paint is optional, resulting in an additional price of $700)
Iridium Silver Metallic $700
Interior Color
Ash Leather1 $1,540
Wood Trims
Burl Walnut Wood Trim $0
Options
6-Disc CD Changer2 $440
Cargo Tray And Cargo Box $160
Distronic $3,150
Wood/Leather Steering Wheel3 $540
Voice Control4 $500
Packages
P3: Premium III $8,600
319 Lighting Package $900
321 AMG Sport Package $4,550
406 Multicontour Seats5 $790
Accessories
Chrome Door-Handle Inserts $79
Roof Spoiler (Primed) $398
Blue Illuminated Door Sills $459
Gas Guzzler Tax $0
Total $66,261

Any other options I'm forgetting or that anyone can recommend? I've been told Keyless Go and there is no Pano roof.

Thanks guys.

Hey off topic...but it seems like you are looking at a very nicely equipped 350. Maybe, for that price, you should consider going for the 500 engine. When buying my E class and my CLK class, I opted for the "500" engine because of the larger list of standard features. If you are looking at a 66,000 dollar ML class, the ML500 may be a better option.

Nice configuration, and good luck with your purchase! Post pics when you get it!

Hi Mike,

Yes, the price difference at MSRP is only about $6k and the ML500 has Keyless Go as an option, so its very tempting. I'm going to price both out and see what the end result is. I plan to keep this car for the full 7yrs/100k mile warranty period, so it might be worth it for the extra power.

I don't think any features other than the larger engine are automatically standard on the ML500 but I'll know when I visit the dealer on Tuesday.

Will def post pics.

Thanks for the tip!

7 yr/100k Mile Warranty? I guess you're purchasing extra coverage?

Absolutely. I'd like to keep my cars a minimum of 7yrs, because they usually get handed down to other family members around the 3yr mark. With all the "issues" newer MBs have, I dont see myself keeping the cars out of warranty, so this way the car can be kept for 7yrs and given to other family.
