New ML 350 and comand instalation
I have ordered a new W164 ML 350 with the standard audio 20 system.
I bought a used comand from a friend in very good condition which has been originaly factory installed in his W164 model.
Do I just plug everything in and comand works OR do I have to visit workshop for any programing ?

Well finally I found the answer to the above question myself. I Installed the comand aps to my car and I realised that I had to visit an MB dealer to make it work. They just pluged in the diagnostic program and in a minute it was working. I have to go again next week in order to make further programming so as to have the navi directions on the instrument cluster too.
Of course the comand APS doesn't play mp3 or dvd movies so checking on e-bay I found an adaptor which you connect to the comand and you can then plug an external dvd mp3 etc player. The pricefor adaptor and dvd mp3 player was around 400 EUR by a German dealer and it seems that you can control dvd from the comand unit. What I don't know is if I have to use a second adaptor for tv tuner or if there is a mercedes tuner that can be used.
Any ideas or suggestions my friends ???

Iam on the process of doing excactly the same retrofitting,I bought mine from ebay.Kalogeropoulos seems to be the only one i had spoken too that has a clue what to do,but i live in Thessaloniki.Can you please tell me how did it go after a year?What software did you use.Greece is still not on the gps chart fully is'nt it?My name is Pavlos
