08 ML550, 08 Lancer Evolution X
I have a 2008 ML550 AMG on order; black exterior, macadamia interior. It will be produced in August and at the dealership in September. I ordered the Premium Package II. Included in the options are a sunroof, bi-xenon lights, running boards, heated seat package, Keyless-Go, IPOD integration kit, and of course, the AMG package. I have the same data as previously posted by gvaughn for 2008 options. No firm price, yet. Just rough estimate. The base price of $55,000 seems about what we figured. I am fairly certain that I saw on the dealership computer (when I placed the order) that production on these models doesn't start until June.
It will be a beauty and will be a pleasure to drive. But it will never overtake my passion/obsession for my SL! The ML will be my car for rainy/snowy days, replacing my 2004 Toyota Highlander.

If you go onto mbusa.com and "build a car," the 2007 with these options will come up to be about $64,000. But then you have to add on the "550 engine size" upgrade and the "new model year" upgrade and that is a guess. So, add a couple thousand, to a few thousand, on to that price for 2008 msrp. I also sat down with our SR to go over numbers and we came up with almost the same figures. Hopefully, MB will release the 2008 pricing soon. That will certainly make the sales reps happy. It is difficult for them (everyone) when there are no firm numbers.

Mercedes ML 500
The AMG pkg is still optional on the 08 ML 550 (usually around a 5k option) although pricing has not been announced yet. I work for a MB dealer and looked on our Netstar system today. It is still option code 321, so it will not be AMG standard.
** Actually after checking with managers, the initial batches are only coming as AMG pkgs., so if you want a non AMG you will have to wait until later in the year

What About Multicontour Seats in 2008
gvaughn,
Did you inquire about the option for multicontour seats. These were an option on the ML's. I have found out that they will NOT be an option any longer on the 2008 GL450.
Thanks

I haven't specifically inquired about this, but I did ask for the multicontour seats option for my ML350 that I've ordered. I haven't gotten my paperwork yet...so I don't know what was actually ordered - but if it wasn't orderable, I probably would have heard something. My dealer is currently out on vacation, so I won't know what was actually ordered until he gets back, but I'll let you know.

gvaughn,
I've come across another post somewhere that stated that the multicontour seats are gone for the 2008 ML's also. They are not on the dealer's computer order screen for the 2008 GL450 (as of this past weekend), I know that for sure. I wouldn't think they would keep them around for the ML's only. I wonder if they are exactly the same seat??
It will be interesting to see what your dealer tells you when he gets back.

While at the dealership today trying to straighten this out, they walked through the configuration with us and explained that the AMG Sports package is standard with the ML550. (We should have checked on this site two months ago, since our dealership didn't let us know). We don't want the AMG bumpers or running boards (just not our style) but we want the 550. Does anyone know for sure if (and when) we'll be able to order the ML550 without the AMG package? If it wasn't for this issue of not having Parktronics on our order we would probably take it. At this point, since we are starting the order process over again, we might just wait a while longer if we can get the exact configuration that we want. (Or, we might just go order a Tesla for a few extra bucks and have some real fun. )
Huge lesson learned for us ==> If there is a specific configuration that you need, then make sure you sit down with the dealer with the final configuration printed from their order system at least 60 days prior to build date and go through EVERY component. Unfortunately we trusted the salesperson to get it right and check for us. He didn't and then he tried to get us to take what he had entered (w/o Parktronics). We finally had to meet with the Sales Manager to straighten it out and make them realize that they messed up.

Great prices from South Carolina Dealer
I bought a 2008 ML CDI being built to my specs from
Jeremy D Easterling
(803) 600 2824
DickDyer in South Carolina, they provide great deals and will ship almost anywere in the US.
Pricing not out yet for the vehicle (they will provide you with a percentage discount to MSRP), but apparently they should be out in the next week or two.
Exterior package and sunroof are now standard, xenon lights are part of premium package 2, can't wait to get the car.

08 ML320CDI
All very true. However when we ordered our ML320cdi I found that Keyless GO is now an option and that the running boards (once included in 333 pkg) are not part of the standard exterior appearance and have to be ordered seperately.
I also can't wait to get our ML

MB announced the 2008 ML-10 Package today as well -
[IMG][/IMG]
According to the internal release at Daimler it comes standard with:
Smoked Bi-Xenon Headlamps
Smoke rear lamps
M-10 badges on the front fenders
Dark Metallic skid plates for front and rear
20" 5-spoke wheels in silver or chromed black finish
Blue Tinted Glass
The interior gets:
Sport Gauges
Two-toned Cashmere/Black Leather seating
Aluminum Pedals
The M-10 Package is only available with the P1 package as far as I can tell and is available in limited numbers on both the ML350 and ML550. They will also be available with Comand, Keyless Go, Heated front seats and Factory ICE system as options.
*edit* - wrong picture, sorry. Fixed it.

2008 Ml550
I just got a big disappoinment. I ordered a 2008 ML550 on 04-06-07. After some time into the process I was told that my build date would be July 10. I called the dealership yesterday to see how things went and to see if there is a tentative delivery date. They got back to me today with the bad news. I was told that all ML550 production has been delayed and now mine is scheduled for production on 09-28. The reason was not clear but the delay only pertains to ML's with the new 5.5. Normally I would be disappointed but patient enough to work through it but I my case we are planning a driving vacation and now it looks like there is a monkey wrench in the works. Can anyone confirm for this turn of events or offer any additional info?

2018 S450, 2019 Range Rover LWB, 2015 Range Rover, 2019 S560 Cabriolet (awaiting delivery)
These package prices are for the '08 320 CDI, I believe they will be the same for other M's:
318 Leather Pkg. $1,975
322 Appearance Pkg. $0 (now included at no cost, was $1,550 for '07)
323 Heating Pkg. $1,370
324 Sunroof Pkg. $0 (sunroof now standard)
922 Interior Appearance Pkg. $610
P01 Premium I $3,750
P02 Premium II $5,850 (now includes bi-xenon lighting package - $900 for '07)
P03 Premium III $8,600
Most individual options are up $10 over last year. I am considering ordering a CDI soon depending on how aggressive my dealer will price it.
