Bluetooth "parrot" and Harman Kardon

Hello,

I wanted to intall a bluetooth phone in the ML but it has Harman Kardon and seem that a parrot would not work.

Is there any interface or any other thing compatible with the sound system?

Best Regards.

actually it will work but requires additional work to get it there. basically the speaker interrupt module has to be wired back at the amplifier (under the driver seat) and the mute must be wired as well. a competant install shop should be able to handle it. expect to pay 2-3 hrs additional labor.

Thanks for your answer, someone has told me that I can also make it work putting it via the aux port.

Is the parrot happy with the impedance of the HK speakers???

Best Regards.

The Parrot provides a low level output interface as well which could be connected to an AUX input. However, there is the problem of selecting the AUX input on the audio system when a call is placed or receieved. You can do this manullay but I know of no way to "automatically" do it.

I have several Parrot CK3100 systems (which work flawlessly!!) and have done several custom interfaces to various vehicles with them. On my Lexus (which I just traded for an ML, yet to be delivered) I used the speaker interrupt/amplifier module and wired it into the Lexus harness for the Lexus cell phone option (which I did not have, but for which all are pre-wired). On my SL500 I designed a special intereface that connects between the radio and the Bose amplifier. This method allowed installing it without modifying any of the MB wiring harnesses.

I may have to put one in my ML as well. I got the Bluetooth "puck" but I expect it to fully live down to its reputation (and I can't lower myself to a Motorola phone). If I do install a Parrot, I'll let folks on this thread know (and there may be a "puck" for sale).
