ML Running Boards...
How much did you guys pay for your running boards (installed) I'm talking about the chrome running boards with the rubber spots on it
...I know the MBUSA site says $510 but the 2 dealers I called are charging $800-$1100 + labor (around $400)

2008 R350 & 2008 C300
To follow up on this, anyone tried putting them on yourself? I looked under my 06 and there are bolts that run along the bottom kick strip. I assume they mount to those, would be an easy install if thats all it took. By the way, they are stainless not chrome.

I installed the runningboards myself. Took about 3.5 to 4 hours total for both sides. You first mount the solid aluminum frame to the car's body, then the stainless board screws to the aluminum frame. There are about 20 plus nuts,bolts,clips per side. I had sore fingers after the install.
Part cost was around US$1200-1300.
