Question CHIRPING on the ML?
I'm looking to see if there's a way to have an 08 ML350 chirp when locking the car using the key.

definetely not with the stock equipment, but i'm sure there's an aftermarket solution.

can't you hear the doors lock in place or unlock?

I notced that when we got our S550..at first i would get nervous i didnt lock the door cause i couldnt hear the sound over and over again..but after a little bit i sorta got used to it..

Yeah i have mine do that too..and worse come to worse..if you are still paranoid..just pull the handle of the back seat door to make sure its closed..my guess is even if you do that..you will be half way from your car when you turn around and check it one more time..just in case..

If by "windows" you mean the side mirrors...I don't have P2 , aka no power folding mirrors...wasn't available with the Edition 10 pkg

If you dont have an alarm then you can get an aftermarked canbus-controlled one and have the red indicator led-light installed beneath the front windshield, visible for both you, potential thieves and insuring that the car is locked.

All new MB cars for America come with the alarm...I think the red lighting etc inside will bring more attention to car then needed.

what?! a 50g suv with no power mirrors? thats just wrong.

What can I say other then it was a "compromise" for having the Edition 10...I personally think it was worth it, get all the extras including the tinted headlight/taillights, unique skid plates...two tone interior, wheels etc.

...it'll cost me around 1k + install (according to SteveMBenzNL) to have the power mirrors...I just don't think it's worth it

Your lights should blink 3x when you lock. I know you're probably used to the chirp but I've gotten used to noticing the # of blinks. I always check if my ML is locked from the bedroom window before turning in for the night. Just enjoy taking that last look.

Yeah it sort of sucks, I used mine all the time on my 00 ML when pulling it into the garage, but this time around I have Navi, power lift gate, satellite radio, bluetooth, none of which I had on the 2000.

Meh...
