dual tips on ml350
I was surfing the web and came across this pic. They are custom fabricated amg-style dual exhaust tips. The company will only make a set for you with your vehicle in their shop. Unfortunately, they're in Australia.

I don't know if any of you have actually tried looking...
for ml63 tips, it's almost impossible to track them at the dealer, the part number doesn't even come up in their computers. Well anyways, at the dealer, the single oval tips for both sides retail for $800. Scares me to think how much the dual ovals are. No, these are not just ml63 tips (always assuming jack@$$), they were fabricated by that company in Australia, thus them requiring your vehicle for custom fitting.

I am having my dealer look them up on paragon...
And I think they will run about $1100-1200, I am cooking up an alternative and I will PM you if it works. It will be much cheaper, but will require some custom work.

That would be great hotml350
I contacted carshine by email and am waiting for a response. Could you find out an approximate estimate on cost.

do you really want to over pay again for something that isn't really all that interesting and nothing special? i guess it is worth it if your goal is to look like a ml63 poser. i guess it wouldn't be too surprising if more of your future posts relate to other car parts from the ml63. because with the flares and now this... the only real thing missing would be the instrument cluster, amg motor, slightly different steering wheel, air suspension, 20" amg rims, seats, transmission, leather dash, leather door inserts, chrome rings around the front speakers... anything else i missed?
"The company will only make a set for you with your vehicle in their shop. Unfortunately, they're in Australia."
the reason they need your car in the shop is to adjust the exhaust and the exhaust hangers to make sure it is centered and positioned correctly. any, and i mean any good exhaust/muffler shop can fabricate you a mandrel bent exhaust for between $850-1500 depending on the diameter of the piping, style and number of resonators, and exhaust tips. any good shop would make the same statement above as their reputation and quailty of work will be rolling around the street. so for the cost of just the stupid tips, you could get a better sounding, lighter exhaust system.
in the end, it is your money and your choice on how badly you want to get ripped off for having something so unoriginal.
but, what really gets me is how you come posting here like its the best thing in the world, and you hope people come running to reply to your post saying... "great job, that looks fantastic!, where can i get a set, etc"
instead you get into a hissy fit when people tell you that its nothing special. because it is in fact, nothing special.
oh and i don't mind being called an *** for assuming... you and i are one a like... you donkey!

Talk about overpaying..
you're the one with the ml500, jackhole. The $1100 is the cost from the dealer for amg dual pipes, not the cost I'm about to spend, get the thread straight. Actually, I'd really prefer you never respond to any of the threads I generate, and I'll return you the favor.

rather coming off a bit smug aren't you? if i wanted horsepower, i would have gotten a used 05 cayenne turbo.
and i needed a car in 07, and didn't think the 80 extra hp was worth waiting a year for and i also didn't like the amg package as standard... b/c i don't want to be a ml63 poser.
and i can't make a promise i can't keep. i will continue to post my opinions regardless of who's thread it is. if i have something to say, i will post it.

You're the jackhole...
who keeps talking about value and not being screwed out of money. The point of me mentioning that you purchased the ML500 for was that point exactly. Just trying to offer you some of your cynical frugal viewpoint.

your example of me buying a 07 ml500 makes no sense. if the 550 was out in may 07 dumbass i would have bought it in may. but 550's came out in 08. so i guess i have to apologize to you for not willing to bum rides off friends, or pay for a rental until the 08 came out. and as i said in my previous post.. i did not find the 08 550 to be a must have. only the engine changed, and the amg package came standard.
so back to your example... i was being frugal for buying a 07 ml500 that had a msrp of $65,355? purchased in may 07 with p3, leather, dual rear dvd, 6 disc, 19" and running boards. how much did your 08 550 msrp come out to?
do me a favor. if you are going to make an example like the one above... please think it over, write it down, re-read it and make sure it makes sense before posting it. because it surely doesn't make any sense to me. and i would hate for you to try to put words in my mouth again as you did in the previous post.
"who keeps talking about value and not being screwed out of money."
please tell me how i was screwed out of money and didn't find value in my 07 ml500 purchase? would love to see you provide something that doesn't sound as stupid as the comment above. i paid the dealership the amount i wanted and got the car i wanted.
you my friend were screwed out of money because you wasted it on paying the dealership to do your suspension at a price that apparently even you knew was too long for labor. i can't remember, but didn't you have the suspension installed twice? and now you posted about a set of exhaust tips that basically look or are the ml63 tips. again donkey... nothing special there.
don't waste people's time, because spending or thinking of spending the amount you want just on exhaust tips are just plain stupid.
btw, you are if you didn't know a ml63 poser. cheap ***... you should have just bought the ml63 in the first place. would have been cheaper than to piece together the ml63 extras on a 550 after the fact. and even if you get all the parts... you will still be short the 6.3 engine. but i guess that won't stop you from going to the dealership and buying a set of 6.3 amg badges to put on your car.
would you like me to call the parts dept and get you pricing on that 6.3 badging? if its under $100, i'll buy it for you.
hope you got those ml63 rims with tires you posted about before... then you will be one step closer to looking like a ml63 without the 6.3 motor.
poser.
