2008 Ml320
Wanted to share some pictures.
My new 2008 ML320, Iridium Silver with Ash interior with the Alcantara inserts.
P2 package, iPOD, trailer hitch, 6 CD, side step bars, heating package.
The 2008 comes standard with the exterior sports package which includes the 19 inch wheels and the metal skid plates.

blaz,
You are correct, the plates are part of P2.
Its' funny, the order form and the sticker states that it has the Exterior Appearence Package which is standard in 2008 (no charge listed), but it's not defined what that actually is. I guess what it amounts to is the 19 inch wheels, maybe the chrome step on the back bumper by the hatch, I wonder if that is part of it too.

c-rod,
Yes the tires that came on the truck are Continental 255/50/R19. I wish the the tires were a little bigger. They look a little small for the truck to my eye.
My wife's GL320 has 275/55/R19's and they actually look better.
When I am ready for a new set of tires I will start asking around and see if a 55 sidewall will fit properly on this truck. I don't know a lot about tires.
