Today I sat in a special edition (don't remember the exact designation) ML350. It had a storage drawer in the center stack, below the climate controls. I asked the salesman about it, and he said that it was only available on this edition, but that all the GL's had it. He claimed that the fascia on the GL is the same as the ML, so that they could be exchanged to give the ML the storage drawer. Seemed kind of dumb to me that MB would put this feature on the GL, and not the ML

 

I can't speak to the 350, but the 550 has two storage drawers below the climate controls so whatever he said about it only being on a GL is wrong

 

yep, plenty of ML's have the drawer; I believe all ML 500's and the higher trim ML350. head down to your parts dept and get the drawer and new fascia.

 

l have the storage drawer on my 06 ML350.............

 

it came standard for ml500's. on 350's it came as part of a option package, though i can't remember which one right now.

gl's all had them standard.

 

The drawer comes with the Leather equipped ML 350/ML320's It doesn't come with birdseye maple in the MB Tex package. You have to have walnut

 

+1 on all V8 ML's coming with the drawer (and the ML350 Edition 10)...only problem being is that the 500/550 have burl walnut wood and the Edition 10's have birch wood in them, neither one would match the 320/350 birds eye maple wood. Not to mention, knowing Benz pricing its probably $100-$200 for the center trim and another $50-$100 for the actual drawer and mechanisms, thats all guessing mind you but its probably close, is it really worth $300 bucks for extra space that can only hold coins, a garage door opener, maybe an ipood mini ha ha.

 

The drawer is not present on my 2008 ML320 with the Interior Appearance Package which has the alcantara inserts, and a black synthetic center console and aluminum trim on the doors. No wood anywhere.

 

Interesting note here, you can order the 922 option on ML550's, so in your case you may very well be able to add this center drawer if you wanted to, assuming that the 922 option on 550's still comes with the center drawer like standard 550's.
