As I will take my 2007 ML 320 CDI to Europe, IMHO I need to replace the comand center with a European one. Is this a DIY job?

I think the Euro-version CD-player does not play MP3:s. Would it be too difficult to install the IPOD-cable at the same time you replace the Comand center? Or just get a FM frequency player.

How do you take out the Comand center? Do I need special tools to do it? I too will have a US Comad center with navigation and maps 4sale later this year.

Is your W164 COMAND has navi and bluetooth ?
