Download your service history before it disappears
I recently recieved an email from MB telling me I needed to grab my service history before they delete it off of Members on line.
The site said it would be wiped out by May first so just thought I would share this information for anyone who's interested and didn't know.
Guess thet're running out of disk space.

Don't mean to be smart but, are you registered with Owners Online?
If so it should bring you directly to the sign in page.
If not Go to... http://www.mbusa.com/index.do
hit the owners online link and it will bring you to the sign in page.
If your not a member already, I think all you need is your vin # and name.
It's a pretty cool site, you have access to your owners manual and a bunch of other info about your car and others but you do need to fill in the data on your service record. It woun't do it automatically.
Check it out.

i thought the $tealer would at least enter all the service info into the system.....!!! so you're saying this is a voluntary system that the owner actually has to input themselves??? that sucks

I always thought any dealer can enter and pull the service records for any owner's car from the MB national data base? If so, then what's the value of having another copy by entering yourself it on the MB owner's site?

Beats nothing.
Suppose the dealer would input your DYI efforts for you, too?

You can also keep you own notes on transactions. I just like having records of things I can store and access easily I guess.
Also honestly I really don't trust the dealer to keep my information indefinately. I can just hear the it now.... Yes, Mr. R. I'm very sorry, we stopped keeping those records three years ago. An email was sent out... we're sorry if this has inconvinienced you in any way but there's nothing we can do.
