Hmm... Sounds Pricey!

Well im new here at MBWorld and have an 08' ML350 but my wife comes to me today and says you know what the best mothers day present would be? I said what? And she responded with "One of those new Jaguars... the convertible". But wait heres the best part... she wants me to trade in my ML which is new might i add, to pay for her XK8. Needless to say i laughed in her face. But i am thinking about trading in the 05' Cadillac STS for one because i wouldnt mind driving the XK8. Am i crazy for even contemplating the idea of a jag? Post back with what you think because i dont have a lot of time to think about it.

NO LONGER. Ford sold Jag and LRover to Tata Group (Indian) last month. It would be great driving the XK8 in New Delhi with plenty of parts when needed.

ML32,

You didn't say if your Caddy is V6 or V8. Here are average auction prices for this week, you should be able to get around that for your car from the dealer:

- STS V6 $16,600
- STS V8 $19,200

I just got back from the dealer... they gave me 21500 for the STS. I bought the XK8 and told my wife that my brother is borrowing the STS. Im hiding the Jag at my moms house until mothers day. It drives amazing, and gives you an awesome feeling when you have the top down on the highway. It has 227 miles on it! I cant wait to see her face. Thanks everyone for your comments.

Cars have a lot better resale value than SUVs at the moment, so you did the smart thing. Of course getting rid of a Caddy might be smart at any time!

Thumbs up Congratulations

Hope MY wife doesn't see this thread... might give her some crazy ideas.

Good luck with the Jag, you know she's gonna love it.

I think you'll need to post some pics.

Hey maybe you'll get something nice for Fathers Day!!!

One good deed deserves another.
