Hey everyone how are you

well my 01 ML430 has around 120,000km on it and im going to change the plugs.

The idle is rough.

I know this topic has been beaten to death. But what are they best plugs to use.

I know one thing that these plug manufactures are good at marketing.

I almost ended up buying some platinum 4 iridiums lol.

Anyways whats the best plug to use, I wouldnt mind extra performence or that extra nice growl the most people talk about after changing their plugs...

Some people say they have had problems with the plat 2's and 4's after some miles, some swear they are the best. Some people say go with Iridiums blah blah blah

im totally confused

But yea I dont care about the cost of the plugs really but if there is a cheaper plug thats good let me know.

But I have cost price on the plugs that why.

Your

plugs should not be an issue at only 75000 miles.Do you have any check engine codes?Where are you located?
NGK 7090 plugs about $2.79 each in the states.
Diy on
www.benzworld.org w210 section.
also search on
http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w163-m-class/
all you need is the plugs ,a basic tool kit ,a set of torx bits and the special 17mm spark plug boot tool.
PM me if you need one.
diy plugs takes about 2 hours.
no need to replace the wires.
You need to find out why it is running rough.Spark plugs if bad will throw misfire codes on your obd2 check engine light.
Have you checked anything else?

No need for 4tip plugs, the m113 engine hates them.No need for new wires the original ones will last forever if not abused.
Do not use anti-seize on the plugs.Ever

Your vehicle is a W163 and you've posted in the wrong forum.

The "best plugs to use" are listed in your owners manual. There aren't any others.
