2008 ML350 4matic
I just replaced my filters with K& N filters...very easy and fit beautifully.
Very simple change....push the metal clip on the rear of the center of the engine cover back towards the firewall. It is way back in there...remove the front half of the cover that covers the oil filter housing(lift up and towards the front of the vehicle)...gentle pull back on each fresh air tube that goes to the engine cover until they come out...they can be pushed toward the center of the engine....then simple lift up on the box.
The box is held on by 4 spring loaded clips...dont be shy, it will lift off.
Once off, turn it over and loosten the 4 screws on each side to reveal the filters...
