Diesel service?

Is?
Well, the fuel filter is replaced every 20K miles vs 140K miles on the gas cars.
You'll hope the fuel injectors are reliable because they're at least $700 each vs probably $150 for gas engines.

The other part is the expensive oil! The dealer sells it at about $8 a quart! I've seen the oil on line around $6, but it's tough to find in the stores. Also add on for you new Bluetec owners the blue juice which gets re-filled at the 10K service.

That's only a dollar more than the 0W-40 I just bought at Auto Zone for an older Mercedes. An extra $9 every 10K miles shouldn't be a big problem for an owner of a new Mercedes.
