Northeast Dealer?

Northeast Dealer?
Hello all,
My BMW 330i lease is coming to an end shortly, and am looking to get a diesel -- either an ML or an X5.
I've had a couple of BMWs already, and have a great relationship with my dealer -- price, service, etc.
Can anyone recommend an MB dealer? I am in the NYC area, but am not limited to this area.
Thanks!

I live in Westchester, purchased in Greenwich CN, have dealt with Service departments in White Plains, Greenwich and Goldens Bridge and could NOT recommend any of them.
Sorry, but prices are high and attitudes are pretty crappy...
Very sorry to say I can NOT recommend any in the area.
Absolutely, Love my MB but not a big fan of the Dealerships. I've actually been looking for an indi in the area if anyone can make a recommendation, Ill be curious to see whom else weighs in. Good Luck

From my short experience (picked up GL on 12/6) I have nothing but kudos for Manhattan MB. See Louis DeMato (you can mention that I sent you if you want (Jose)) as he was probably the most attentive dealer I have ever experienced (even called me on his days off).
If you live in NYC, or even work in NYC, they will pick up your car from within Manhattan when you need service. They just picked up my GL for an outside mirror replacement under warranty on Thursday afternoon in front of my office (I live in Bklyn) and then returned it within 24 hours. Service manager (Derek) was just as attentive. In fact, in order to get it back to me quickly, they actually pulled one off a new GL. They can also provide you with a loaner, but I would have had to wait about 3 days for that.
Good luck.

URL8,
Having come from an X5 to an ML, be prepared to pay through the nose with MB for things that should be a given for vehicles in this price range. Leather, memory seats, keyless go, etc., all are available as part of the top tier premium packages with Mercedes. BMW makes them availble as part of their basic premium package and at a very reasonable price.
On leases, BMWs hold their value much better than MBs so lease rates are better on the X5. That added to the included maintenance and you're talking significant savings.
On service. I hear ya with how you describe your relationship with your dealership. I miss the great relationship I had with my BMW dealership.

^ I wish I could say the same, the salesmen there have been very unprofessional each time I was there for a benz and essentially erupted at the mention of Ray Catena...basically IMO all they're good for is a quote, just so I can take it to ray catena to have it beat ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
that being said..their service department staff is very professional and polite the few times ive been there over the years

EFF YOU JACKIE
I'd recommend MB of Morristown. They have taken care of me with my last 5 MB's and push comes to shove they go out of their way to help with situations.

I've heard great things about Prestige
But a buddy of mine got a good deal at Mauro in New Haven CT and had pretty good things to say about it and i got my first ML at New Country in CT (probably better off just giving them a call and talking to em. George at New Country is a good guy...)
I mean im sure there are better dealerships out there...i have probably just had good luck lol

Regarding Ray Catena Union, I preferred to buy there because they're local, but they absolutely would not price match. Helms Bros in Bayside, NY discounted 10% off MSRP for '09 GL320 but Ray Catena would not go beyond 7% off, and they wanted to charge me $1000 transportation to freight the vehicle from another dealer 200mi away!

Had to make some slight edits but couldn't do it within the original message. Guess it's a bump for MB Manhattan ![Wink](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)

If you're in the mood for a little road trip, you can stop by my Dealer, up in Maine.
Their website is www.mainemb.com, and they called Prime Motor Cars. I've seen a bunch of ML/GL CDIs on their lots, since I drive by there, almost every day.

an aside for dealing with new country in hartford ct: if you have service done there you better watch the hours they charge for labor. they WILL try to stick you for extra hours. I caught my service advisor doing it twice and they changed me to another guy. also they will not do a good job washing your car after service or on a detail. and you will be driving a camry if you need a loaner. not complaining, just stating facts.
