I wonder what the delta will be between the ML450 - Hybrid and the ML320 Bluetec

Both price and handeling.

edit: here is a bit of info: "
The Mercedes ML 450 Hybrid will use the two-mode system co-developed with GM and BMW. The vehicle will combine a 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine, two electric motors and a 288-volt battery pack to produce 321 horsepower. Fuel efficiency is forecast at 30.5 mpg, slightly better than today’s ML 320 diesel (available in 45 states). M-Class SUVs offer two rows of seats to accommodate five adults. As a full hybrid, The ML 450 can drive solely on electric power for brief periods, and uses a stop-start function to save fuel at a stand still." source: http://www.hybridcars.com/suvs-miniv...50-hybrid.html

The hood is new, its great and uptodate looking with a slight aggressiveness appeal. The new colors are awesome too.

Why Why Why? So you get 1) all the complexity of a two mode system with ICE and electric motors but 2) very little efficiency improvement.

Now swap that 350 gasonline engine for a 2.something or the 3.2 liter diesel engine and NOW you've got something.

Anyone have a pic of this 2010 hood? I'm surprised they changed it after changing it in 2009.

Anyone have any idea if the hybred will incorporate run flat tires like the bluetech?? That would be a reason to not consider it for me.

I thought I would bump up this thread as these come online. I'd like to see a picture of the Steel Grey ML if anyone sees one.

The is the European Edition, the US version will look in amazing in Steel Grey with the side chrome accents, grill and running boards. Palladium Silver not to shabby silver. Shame the Pewter is no longer an option.
