Buh Bye

We sold the ML today. Dante made me do it. He said such horrible things about my new car that I had to make a choice. So, I chose style over substance.

LOL! NO, I'm kidding. We did sell the ML today. But, it had nothing to do with Dante or his absurd retoric. I'll come back on occassion to visit the E350 forum (my partner is keeping his car). But, I've found a new home here.

So long MLers! Best of luck with your trucks. It was AWESOME hanging out here with you guys. Thanks for all the great advice and for making me feel welcome.

I'm off to the land of $29.99 oil changes and the best in car technology I have ever experienced.

Best always,

Jose

P.S. For those of you who are dying to know.... meet Aflexis Carrington!

One of the more bizarre looking vehicles Ford has produced, but it seems to get favourable reviews. Good luck!

Challenging with this thing?

I over-reacted, ok, sorry.

But now that I see for what we were fighting and argueing I feel much better, becouse I am sure I was talking straight and right.

This Flexy Box can never perform even a 30-40% of a good german SUV like MB, BMW, PORSCHE, VW or AUDI. That is why it costs exactly that same % of their prices.....

Any opinion on the new state of art Audi Q5 by the way? If this Flex thing is the future then what would Audi Q5 be? Come on! It's ok to save and take care for your budget but one should not advertise rubish at the same time....

I would never buy this thing (Ford Flex) just becouse seems to be the ICON of something that covers cheeapness and lack of class, quality, substance, performance, with cromed plastics and exterior plagiatarism (looks like the 5$ chinese toys - Range Rover replica) (the interiors terrible - painted plastics like in the Lincoln Navigator.....Oh)

I would by a cheap car, if needed, but not pretend from it at the same time the glory of a expensive one......

you bash and question american cars as if you have personally experienced their horrendousness and somehow miraculously lived to tell the tale. tell us, have you actually driven one? and if so, which was it? what made it so horrible?

i have. i've been there. i've driven the cheapest cars made (like the old suzuki sidekick, or dodge colts, or ford escorts) to the fancier ones like the new x5s and a few benzes. and now i own a glk. yet never would i be so snobby and arrogant as to outright dismiss a car of a particulary nationality as rubbish simply because it doesn't wear a storied european badge. they may not be in the same league as a gl550 or ml550, but they are not meant to be. but to imply that they are not worth looking at and that they are not even worth the metal they were built with is ludicrous.

and painted plastics? come on, don't tell me your high and mighty mercedes doesn't come with painted plastics. mine does. everything up to and including and s-class does.

and yes, i looked at the q5. and personally, i am not a fan. and i find it ironic that you would bash american cars for their reliability yet speak highly of a german marque who has questionable reliability. even mercedes reliability has been suspect.

oh and congratz on the flex. i think it's one intriguing vehicle. it's unique and feature-laden and it's interior is quite nice for the price. hope you have fun with it.

i work at a ford dealership and i experience many american cars. they do not come even close to the build quality of a german car. especially the interiors.

i honestly dont understand what people see in that flex, but to each their own i guess

of course not. otherwise, we wouldn't spend the money to buy the cars we own. but they're not absolute pieces of crap either. well, some are, like say, the cavalier, but not all.
