Is it Possible to replace US comand (2008) with EU (2009) version?

Hi All,

I just bought a 2008 ML important from US to Middle East (ME). I have just checked with the dealer and they told me that I cannot use the ME navigation DVDs on the US version, and it will cost me almost $10,000 to replace the US version with ME version of comand.

I'm new here and I appreciate your help since I don't want to pay the $10K

I was wondering:
1-Is the EU comand compatible with ME? I read somewhere that US & CA having specific commands while the whole word (EU & ME included) has another.

2-If EU is compatible with ME, can I just replace the 2008 with a 2009 unit without changing antennas or anything else?? just plug and play?

You can replace the US unit with the European.. It is ALMOST plug and play...
Check ebay or sent me PM for more info, as someone might consider it advertisement for this purpose..
